Sunday Read: Our Favorite Living Rooms
by T Magazine
When I first moved into my own place, I had one singular focus: create a living room situation that I was actively excited about existing in every single evening. “If we’re going to spend good money on anything,” I said, “it has to be a couch.”
We collectively spend so much time in our living rooms that it would be a crime to not make yours exactly to your liking. We all deserve to love our living spaces. Unfortunately, right now, I’m not in love with mine anymore.
If all goes to plan, my living room will look quite different by the end of 2026. Right now, I’m in information collecting mode. And this week’s read has made my mind run wild. In lieu of an excerpt this week, I simply urge you to enjoy the photography and styles on display.

Background Noise: Miramar Beach After Sunset
Over the last couple years, I’ve made a real effort to take some longer video if a view presents itself. My first attempt, Lake Como at Sunset, kind of set me up for disaster. Not only did we all into a room with a perfect view, but I had a completely controlled setting where I could record as long as my heart desired.
Each time after, however, I’ve had to deal with a more elements like wind, lighting, and people that affect the recording quality. While I took several of these on our four-night stay, I kept finding something wrong with them. On our final night in California, however, I finally got 60 minutes of calm before dinner.
I will fully admit that the main reason I take this videos is for myself. While I think they serve a phenomenal purpose on our YouTube page in the long term, the main purpose for me is to have something I can watch in the background that takes me back to a place I love. A true Mentally I’m here situation.

Things I Saved This Week
My Sunday To-Do List
Find coffee — I’ve had a bad streak lately of running out of coffee by Sunday morning.
While I don’t think we need new sheets on the bed, I’m going to pitch we change the sheets because I want to use our other duvet cover.
Clean a large planter I have with a dead palm in it so it can be replaced next weekend.
Manchester United vs. Aston Villa.
I have two back issues of a magazine that I’d love to page through so I can recycle them.
Yesterday, I sat outside and stared up at the trees in silence for about ten minutes. I’d like to squeeze in another one of those.
I hope your Sunday is a memorable one for only right reasons,
— Will
