Welcome to The Sunday Digest — a free Sunday newsletter featuring long (and some short) reads, original columns, things I’ve saved over the last week, relaxing playlists, episodes releases, exclusive product drops, and more. Relaxing Watch: Lake Como at Sunset
I couldn’t get over the view from our hotel room. Every time I walked by it during our two-day stay in it, I couldn’t help but simply take it all in — something that doesn’t exactly feel natural these days. On our last night of the trip, I knew I wanted to capture it in some form. I ended up setting up my camera tripod and I left my phone recording for 2.5 hours. Needless to say, I was incredibly pleased with how the video turned out. And once we added some bossa nova to it, it felt even better.
I had a lot of fun doing this considering how new of a format it was for me, but I’m certainly going to do more as I travel in the future. Besides, it was kind of nice being without my phone in a foreign country for a few hours.

Sunday Read: How Everyone Got Lost in Netflix’s Endless Library
by Willy Staley for The New York Times Magazine
I’ve always believed that there should be a setting on streaming services that forces you to browse more efficiently. A ten-minute timer that automatically plays the most recent thing you looked at so you don’t spend your entire Sunday night falling into the abyss that is Netflix or MAX.
More often than not, I don’t just feel lost — I am lost. Wait, where the hell is my “Keep Watching” row? We’ve all wasted more time than we’d like to admit trying to settle on something that all parties agree on.
And now we know why. Here’s an excerpt:
Your view into the catalog may feel like a grand vista, but in actuality you are peering through a keyhole. When I open up Netflix on my TV, I am immediately met with a carousel of 75 shows and movies New on Netflix; then the Top 10 TV Shows in the U.S. Today; beneath that a carousel of another 75 suggestions Because You Watched “Rebel Ridge”; beyond that, an algorithmic selection of 33 Today’s Top Picks for You; then Bingeworthy TV Dramas, 75 of them. Then there’s Your Next Watch, a combination of stuff my kid watches and stuff I might, 75 more. Next: The last 10 things we didn’t finish; then, a list of 75 more titles because I watched “Shot Caller.” Beyond that, no fewer than 30 more carousels of about 75 titles each. That’s a whole lot of TV, but it’s still just a small slice of the catalog.
What we’re paying for, in the end, is not any one show, or any three or 10 or 50 shows, but rather this fathomless sense of abundance.

You feel that? Apparently the menswear vibes are shifting in ways you wouldn’t expect. From fashion houses to trickle-down style, we discuss whether or not the vibes are actually shifting or not.
