Welcome to The Sunday Digest — a free Sunday newsletter featuring long (and some short) reads, original columns, things I’ve saved over the last week, relaxing playlists, episodes releases, exclusive product drops, and more. Yes, you can reply to this email. I’d love to hear from you. Or, if podcasts are more your speed on Sundays, we’ve got that too.
New Episode: Imposter Syndrome, Hotel Bars, and Winter Scented Candle Recommendations
Three high-end scented candles to burn while you hunker down this winter, the beauty and mystique of hotel bars, and the self-diagnosis we all give ourselves of Imposter Syndrome.
Listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and anywhere else podcasts are found.
First Access: Oatmeal Sweaters & Nike Hats
Some absolutely delightful news this Sunday — both the Oatmeal Sweatshirts and Nike hats are back in-stock in the Sunday Scaries shop. The Oatmeal sweatshirt has turned into my “toss on when I’m fresh out of the shower and ready to do nothing on the couch for three hours” sweatshirt, so I can personally vouch that it’s a pretty decent piece to spend a Sunday in. Enjoy.
Things I Saved This Week
The Sunday Haiku
Ugh, I’m so thirsty
Wait, where did all the cups go?
Oh, on my nightstand.
Sunday Read: 11 One-Pot Winner-Winner Chicken Dinners
Normally, I like to keep Sunday Reads in the journalistic realm over the recipe realm. But with temperatures diving below 50 degrees in Austin, Texas this week I began to crave all the comfort foods that The New York Times had to offer. Given that I’ve already had too much pot roast this year (if there is such a thing), nothing sounded better than an easy one-pot chicken dinner recipe. Or, you know, eleven of those recipes.
For many of us, getting a home-cooked dinner on the table after a long day is a tiny miracle, so choosing a dish that doesn’t require a lot of clean-up is especially important. These 11 one-pot (or -pan) chicken dishes are here to save you from the sink.
Enjoy, and make sure not to leave any dishes for Monday morning. Just an absolutely reckless and irresponsible Sunday move.
See you next Sunday.
