It’s my absolute pleasure to present to you the newest candle in the Sunday Scaries line, New York In The Fall. Together with Vellabox, we came up with a candle that’s reminiscent of your walks in the city, your trips upstate, and those times when you’re just on your couch watching You’ve Got Mail.
Of all the candles we’ve created together, this was perhaps my favorite one to workshop because it had a more defined vision that we aimed to achieve. As someone who’s only been to New York City once when it wasn’t autumn, there always seems to be something that makes me want to go on a three-day bender there once the leaves begin to change.
If you want to hear more about what went into this candle, I discussed it all during today’s episode of The Sunday Scaries Podcast. No pressure to listen, though, because I’d rather see a photo of this thing sitting on your coffee table while a mid-to-late 90s rom-com plays in the background.
If you’re wondering why the hell you’re receiving this email, well, it’s probably because you’ve purchased something from Sunday Scaries in the past. My sincerest apologies if you don’t care anymore. If you’re wondering why this is coming from Substack, there’s more to come on that.
Writing is a scratch that’s been itched for me through The Sunday Scaries Podcast, but there are certain things I’d like to do that simply can’t exist in podcast form. Do I have a defined vision for what this could be? No. Do I have a bunch of ideas listed in my Notes app for what it can be? Of course.
Let’s talk soon.
