Welcome to Postcards, the photography side of Sunday Scaries. After upgrading my film camera in 2023, film has overtaken my iPhone as my camera of choice. Here you’ll find photos from travels, home, and anywhere in between. To see more, check out the Postcards section of this Substack.
If you enjoy my photography, consider purchasing our zine, Scenes of Note. As of today, we’re offering free shipping on individual zines and a discount on the zine bundles.
Last week, my family had the absolute pleasure of returning to a bucket list spot for us: Blackberry Mountain in Walland, Tennessee. Despite having to literally piece together my film camera throughout the trip, nearly every photo I took turned out despite my fears.
The first time we went to the Mountain, it was just my wife and I in December of 2023 for a long, relaxing weekend. Ever since, I dreamt of going during the summertime when the trees were more full and a glass of crisp white wine could replace the whiskey on the table (though I did enjoy some small pours this trip as well). Unsurprisingly, our already-high expectations were surpassed.
I hope you enjoy the postcards from our trip.
