Postcards: San Francisco & Healdsburg
"...on a back porch in July."
Welcome to Postcards, the photography side of Sunday Scaries. After upgrading my film camera in 2023, film has overtaken my iPhone as my camera of choice. Here you’ll find photos from travels, home, and anywhere in between. To see more, check out the Postcards section of this Substack.
If you enjoy my photography, consider purchasing our zine, Scenes of Note. As of today, we’re offering free shipping on individual zines and a discount on the zine bundles.
Sometimes everything just lines up perfectly. Your favorite band plays in your favorite city, you have a work reason to justify making the trip, and your sister wants to come along for the ride. In what I thought would be a particularly exhausting long weekend in the Bay Area, I soon found to be pretty cleansing.
Below are film photos captured along the way. Beginning in San Francisco at The Proper hotel, then heading north to Healdsburg for a day with Silver Oak, and then some closing ceremonies at the Sunday show of Dead & Company’s 60th anniversary celebration for The Grateful Dead at Golden Gate Park.
Below the photos, I’ve included a rundown of our itinerary for paid subscribers. I hope you enjoy.
