The past two mornings, I’ve woken up between 4 am and 5 am due to jet lag. And as you’ll see from the film I got back yesterday, it was completely and utterly worth it.
When we were told that my brother-in-law’s wedding was going to be in Italy, my first thought was, “Yes, yes, yes — a reason to go to Italy again.” We immediately hit the ground running with planning.
While there, we began our trek in Florence for two nights before heading to the wedding villa in Tuscany. From there, we drove two-and-a-half hours to Modena for lunch on our way to Villa D’Este in Lake Como where their team treated us better than we deserved. It ended up being our favorite property of the trip before moving to our final destination, Villa Lario (which we also fell head-over-heels in love with as well).
Perhaps it was the 1:30 am glass of red wine looming, but I uttered, “Lake Como may be the perfect place to cure a wedding hangover.” And over the next four days of boat days and relaxation, I couldn’t have been more correct.
If you have any questions about the trip, feel free to comment and I will do my best to give you a suitable answer. The below photos are all unedited from the original film rolls despite my want to straighten them out. But honestly, sometimes things are just meant to be the way they are.

Looks like soo much fun! Where do you process your film and how do you get digital copies/what do you ask for? I brought my Kodak Ektar camera on a few vacations this year and didn’t think out the film processing side when I bought it 😬
Will, I can really see the picture of you with the negroni on the back of a book that you wrote. Maybe a compilation of Things Girls Do After College/Marriage?? Looks like a great time man, making me want to get a film camera
