Welcome to Postcards, the photography side of Sunday Scaries. After upgrading my film camera in 2023, film has overtaken my iPhone as my camera of choice. Here you’ll find photos from travels, home, and anywhere in between. To see more, check out the Postcards section of this Substack.
If you enjoy my photography, consider purchasing our zine, Scenes of Note.
It’s rare to go somewhere that makes you question everything you previously knew about travel. An English-feeling setting in Tennessee where every place you look is somewhere you’d like to not just visit, but spend to a few hours relaxing in.
Blackberry Farm has been a place my wife and I have hoped to visit since before we were married. After leaving, however, it’s now a place I regret not going to sooner.
Eggnog by the fire, a bottle of wine at The Barn, a cheeseboard on the farm, an endless fire going in the room, a moment of peace on the quiet walk to breakfast. It’s hard to not feel cozier than Cameron Diaz in The Holiday.
Below are several film photos I took while away. They were taken with:
Camera: Nikon Lite Touch Zoom 140 ED AF
Film: Kodak Gold 200 35mm
A reminder: The first edition of the Sunday Scaries zine will be out later this week featuring photos from previous iterations of Postcards. Newsletter subscribers get first access, so make sure you’re signed up.
