Introducing: Long Weekend

An all new scented candle from Sunday Scaries and Vellabox.

We started calling them “bonus nights.” More aspirational than anything, a “bonus night” is when you tack on an extra night to your vacation because you can’t stand the thought of going home. A majority of the time, bonus nights are simply talked about among the group around the pool but never actually acted on. The idea of them, however, draws from the contentment you get during a perfect weekend away.

And that same inspiration is what led to our all-new Long Weekend scented candle with Vellabox. Originally inspired by Costal Grandmothers everywhere, the scent soon turned into something much more vacationy. It’s those drives to the lakehouse on Summer Fridays, and it’s taking Monday off because you don’t want your coworkers to see how hungover and sunburned you are.

A sweetness that begins with some lemon, grapefruit, and orange blossom followed by the floral notes of lilac, jasmine, and sage — all topped with a bit of sea salt like those patio margaritas from Friday.

I can proudly say that this candle is nothing like any of the candles that came before it during our partnership with Vellabox. The new container is something you’ll want to keep on your desk for months after, and the scent makes you want to fling open the blinds on a Sunday afternoon as opposed to slamming them shut.
